Guangdong LED light source standardization technical committee formally established

Recently, the Guangdong Province LED light source standardization technical committee (hereinafter referred to as the committee) jointly established by the Municipal Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and the Provincial Institute of Standardization officially announced its establishment in Dongguan. The committee will work on the research of related standards and test methods for LED lighting products, and formulate local standards for LED light source industry in Guangdong.

It is understood that the committee has hired a well-known physicist, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Gan Zikai, one of the founders of the semiconductor light source industry, as the chairman, Professor Wang Gang, Chairman of the LED Industry and Research Association of Guangdong Province, served as vice chairman, Philips, OSRAM, NVC. Technical experts such as lighting companies at home and abroad are members of the committee.

At present, the committee has established the provincial LED standardization technology system. According to this system, LED light source product standards are divided into four categories: LED light source product standards, LED display standards, LED device standards, and other LED product standards. Among them, the drafting of the "solar street lamp" provincial local standard will be put in the first place. The committee hopes that enterprises can refer to this system and then participate in the construction of product standards in various fields according to their actual conditions.

"Solar street lamps" local standards have been established and completed the previous data accumulation. Qinshang Optoelectronics, Five Star Solar and other companies have participated in the development of this landmark. The committee hopes to explore some aspects of the integration of solar power and LED lighting and form a standard system. , To consolidate the status of Guangdong and Dongguan enterprises in the LED solar street lighting industry in the country.

The committee will also widely publicize LED international, national, and industrial standards, and organize the collection and analysis of the development trends of international standards or foreign advanced standards, so that the province's LED industry can achieve low-cost sharing of public resources. At the same time, the committee will undertake the work on the evaluation of product quality standards such as LED street lamp energy conservation certification and semiconductor lighting application engineering product inspection.

In addition, the National Semiconductor Light Source Product Supervision and Inspection Center (Guangdong) to be built by the Quality Inspection Center will soon be completed and put into use. The inspection center will provide semiconductor lighting, LED lighting, LED display and other fields of inspection.
