Taiwan LED packaging factory's output value in April was the same as last year

According to the LEDinside data of the industrial research institute, the total revenue of Taiwan-listed LED manufacturers in April 2009 totaled 5.361 billion NT dollars (the same as the new Taiwan dollar), which was 9.1% higher than the March revenue (YoY-13.4%). Among them, LED chip factory's total revenue in April was 2.089 billion yuan, up 4.4% from the previous month. rLED packaging manufacturers' revenue in April was 3.27 billion, up 12.4% from the previous month.

LEDinside observes the recent market conditions, and the current order visibility is only about 2~4 weeks. Part of the upstream wafer factory, due to Samsung's active stocking of LEDTV, the ultra-bright blue LED supply has become tight. Even crowded out to NB's LED backlight supply, and the lower-end mobile phone backlight chip has a tendency to switch to other second-line chip factories. As for the downstream packaging plant, the recent growth momentum comes from small and medium-sized backlights and LEDs for lighting applications. Although some manufacturers indicated that there is still growth momentum in May, the visibility of orders after June is not clear. LEDinside further pointed out that the recent market demand is not weak, and it is still necessary to guard against the false demand for repeated order placement.

Observing the overall chip factory revenue in Taiwan in April, the revenue in April was 2.089 billion yuan, a slight increase from last month (MoM+4.4%, YoY-25.7%). The leading manufacturer, Jingdian, had revenue of 980 million (MoM+8%) in April. As the capacity utilization rate is close to full load, the revenue growth momentum has slowed down. LEDinside said that Yuyuan also benefited from LEDTV orders, and the utilization rate of blue LED LEDs also returned to around 90%, with revenue of 137 million yuan (MoM+15%) in April. In the case of high-brightness LED shipments, Taigu's revenue in April reached 98 million (MoM+3.4%, YoY+9.6%).
